Until the dawning of the golden age of Aquarius, only a rare few dreamed of physical immortality-eternal life in the same, but continually improved and transfigured flesh body. Others have believed in it only as a possiblity for a few intitiated Masters, the founders of the world’s religions (some of them). Today, however, those who ponder such a possibility for themselves are increasing in number. More people are beginning to realize that physical immortality is actually the foundation of genuine religion.

Yes, physical immortality-eternal life in the maternal sense-was the original cornerstone of all religions, worn away by the ravages of illusionary time, and replaced by false deathist dogmas and doctrines. Yet today’s religions, and even the new occult movements, continue to sell the glory of death concept.

During recent years there have been various attempts to break the stern and dreary philosophy by portraying the experience of death as almost a fun thing, floating around like a balloon in the ethers, and gazing down on the discarded cocoon of the flesh body-or flying dreamily in and out and around the Moon or Pluto on a glittering silver cord, in what is intimated to be a kind of practice session for death.

The silver cord is actually seen by the Third Eye as sparkling silver, possessing an unlimited stretch capacity, and is not only a visible cord-but also an audible (to the inner ear) musical chord of extremely high frequency. In one of the incidents dramatized in the television series Out on a Limb, actress Shirley MacLaine remarked that her own astral trip on her silver cord ended the instant she imaged limitation, when she wondered if her silver cord would stretch far enough for her to actually touch the Moon she saw herself approaching. True. A thought of any kind of limitation instantly blows the fuse in all attempting magic, including the magical reality of physical immortality.

All these attemps to erase the dread of death are admirably motivated. They’re saying, in effect, Don’t be afraid. Dying is a marvelous trip. You’ll love it! But such images are impotent to defeat and permanently destroy death. They succeed only in making it a shade more palatable, and they certainly don’t do anything to comfort the bereaved, those guilt-stricken loved ones left behind when the dead go flying off into the cosmos on their silver cords.

These silver-cord-astral-trips may occur during sleep , or in trance, under the proper condiitons, but they are not mini-deaths, and are not dress rehearsals for an envitable and final crossing over.

By the way it’s interesting and meaningful to contemplate the similarity between the silver cord and attached to the body while astral traveling (or dying)…The umbilical cord of the newborn infant, attached to the mother…and the cord attached between the mother ship (space capsule) and an astronaut landing on the Moon. The three experiences are closely related.

The truth is that all mortals were once Immortals. Even you. You only need to both remember and realize this for the battle to be won, the victory to be yours. Victory is the thought transformation resulting from comprehending that physical immortality-perpetual longevity, sans illness and aging-eternal, healthy, youthful life in your living flesh is not a fantasy, but a practical and attainable possibility.

Naturally, there are certain disciplines to follow, but the first step is a releasing of your religion-seeded loyalty to death. That takes immense effort, admittedly, but it’s certainly worth a try, isn’t it? You have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. And believe it or not, dying takes much effort. Why? Because physical immortality is natural-and death is unnatural. Therefore, people need to exert so much (subconscious) effort to die that it causes illness and pain. Ask yourself if you choose to remain among the masses of humanity who have subjected themselves as slaves to a deathist theology that condemns them finally sacrificing their bodies to dust-or to the extinguishing fire of cremation. To worship the grave, if you’ll pardon the pun about suhc a serious issue, is a grave against both truth and happiness.

Someone once said that thoughts are angels, and some thoughts are, like this one: You are alive now, and so obviously your current and true life urges are stronger than your programmed death urges. As long as you continue to strengthen your life urges, and ignore your programmed death urges, you’ll go on living. Read this thought over and over until you completely comprehend what it’s saying.

You die because you believe you must, you believe it because your computer brain has been falsely programmed, your mind and soul have both been subjected to mass hypnosis from parents, relatives, friends, radio, television, newspapers and magazines. You die because you’re reacting and predictably responding to post-hypnotic suggestion. Your mind and soul have submitted to it (the soul more reluctantly)-but your Spirit (Overself, Higher Angel of S-elf, the you-of-you) knows better. Ask the wise Guru of your own S-elf, and He or She will level with you about the myth of dying.

All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. The only distinction is that, with some people , suicide is a subconscious choice-and with others it’s a conscious choice. Otherwise, those who commit suicide and those who succumb to accident, illness or old age, die exactly the same reason: belief in the inevitability of death. In America, suicide is against the law-a punishable crime. In a way that’s amusing, since it can only apply to unsuccessful attempts. The successful ones are obviously beyond the reach of law. Actually, all deaths are against the law-the law of eternal life-but it’s too late after the guilty ones have escaped what religion and even the new occult movements call the prison of the flesh, and traveled to a different dimension.

Now, there is the real cuprit-the concept of the prison of the flesh. No wonder everyone longs to escape, even though they’re nervous and apprehensive about what happens after the prison breakout. Who wants to remain in prison? But….is the flesh body, called the Temple of the Soul-a prison? It is only when you fail to understand what is meant by keeping one foot on Earth and one foot in Heaven.
