Whether you consciously realize it yet or not, you’re enrolled yourself by choice (on the level of your Higher Self) in a spiritual classroom. And the choice of Karma (macrocosm to microcosm) is just like any Earth school in most respects. In Earth schools when you graduate the fifth grade, you move on to the sixth grade (the next level)-and if you’ve learned particularly well, you may skip a grade or so. But should you fail the fifth grade, what happens? You remain right there where you are until your teachers feel you’ve learned enough to be advanced to the next grade (or level). You don’t get plunked back into the fourth or second grade or kindergarden, just because your fifth grade exams. And that should end the confusion of transmigration. Likewise, you don’t get plunked back into the body of a grasshopper or a kangaroo when you’ve failed a certain grade. You remain in the same enviorment, life after life (incarnation after incarnation), until you’re ready to pass your tests and advance into the next grade-or level or enlightenment-equipped with a body temple made of finer substance (cell regeneration), a more evolved mind and illuminated spirit with which to meet the challenges of the higher grades, all the way up to the spiritual college courses, sort of speak. Eventually you receive your Master’s Degree.
That is just a vague analogy...
Now it’s true that Karma does, indeed, control destiny, but that’s only part of the picture, and when you give only a partial glimpse of truth, you leave true seekers with false impressions. In this instance, they’re lead into believing that their personal fate or destiny is governed entirely by this mysterious force called Karma. Since it’s represented to be totally in charge, without equivocation, just forget it. Why try at all, where nothing you do-or don’t do-is going to change a single turn of the karmic wheel you set in motion yourself, so long ago you can’t even remember giving it that initial spin?
I’d like to fatten the dictionary definition of Karma.
Is the irresistable force of Karma, as the dictionary definition indicates , the sole determining factor in your personal destiny? Yes and No. It depends.
Karma is the determining factor in your destiny only which you allow it to be, by ignoring its flexible laws. In this respect, it’s very like your astrological birth chart which is logical, since your horscope is simply a picture using coded symbols, of all the major and still viable vibrations you’ve set up around yourself in this life, through your now forgotten actions in a sense of past incarnations-and with which you must deal in the current one.
The law of Karma is based solidly upon the rock of Newton’s law of cause and effect: forevery action, there is a reaction. John hurts Mary, and Mary (in a future existence) meets John in a new body, with a different name (sometimes a different sex)-and hurts John back, through a dim awareness (on a subconscious level) that he formerly hurt her. Then comes a lifetime for both, and now it’s John turn to hurt Mary again-then Mary’s to hurt John-with each becoming the channel for the other’s bommerang Karma is a chain of dreary, semmingly endless lives (incarnations).
The pattern of Karma is not difficult to grasp. What is the mysterious force set into motions by your actions? Karma. How is this force controlled and directed? By the Higher Angel of Yourself, the teacher in your spiritual classroom. How do you break the chain of Karma? By getting in touch with your Higher Self, via tuning in as to radio station or television channel, on the right frequency. How do you accomplish this? Through electromagnetic energy-magnetic attraction. Where do you obtain this energy? From desire. Through intense wanting-needing-seeking-desiring. Intense desires creates an energy wave that joins others on the same frequency level, and varying degrees of enlightenment occur.
The first steps toward seeking the truth are wanting, wishing, needing, desiring. If your desire to know is sincere and intense, and not just idle curiosity, you’ll begin to expereince flashes of your past-lives that can lead you into the realms of self-discovery.
